Kombaru: Four occupants of a Xylo car had a miraculous escape on Sunday, May 15 after the vehicle they were traveling in caught fire.
The incident took place while the family was traveling to one of their relatives’ house.
Puttur fire brigade was informed about the incident, however when the fire personnel arrived at the spot the car was completely engulfed in the mishap.
Pointing at the delay in fire brigade reaching the spot due to the narrow road conditions and bridge, locals have requested for a fire station to be set up near the area to avoid any such calamities in the future
