Car-Lorry Collision Kills 9 Raybag Taluk Natives in Yellapur of Uttara Kannada

Yellapur: In a tragic road accident 9 people died including four children after a car collided with a lorry at Arbail Ghat in Yellapur taluk of Uttara Kannada district on Wednesday morning. The incident took place when the car tried to overtake a lorry which caused for a collision between the two vehicles, the sources said.
There were 10 people were travelling in the car and all 9 passengers died in the accident while one survived with severe injuries. All deceased passengers were reportedly from Raybag taluk of Belagavi district and were returning to their native place from Dakshina Kannada district after a temple visit.
The police rushed into the spot soon after the incident and two passengers reportedly died in their presence after heavy blood loss following severe injuries.
