Car-lorry collision; three killed

Karwar: A car and a lorry had a head-on collision at Mavalli cross of Yellapur in Uttara Kannada district.

Three from a family lost life in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Vinayak Hegade (35), Archana Hegade(33) and one-and-half-year-old Shravani breathed their last at the accident spot. However, four-year-old Yashashwini Hegade survived the brutal mishap.

The family is from Sirsi and he was employed in a private company, which recently transferred him to Belagavi. They were heading to Belagavi from Sirsi as he was yet to enroll his daughter in a school in Belagavi.
