Vijayapura: In a gruesome accident, four persons were killed as a car crashed into a parked lorry.
The mishap occurred on the NH50 near Honagahalli village in Babaleshwar taluk here, sources said.
According to sources, the lorry driver was busy repairing the broken down lorry when the car smashed into it. The impact was so severe that the lorry driver and the three occupants of the car including a man, woman and a child were killed on the spot.
Three others who were in the car were rushed to a hospital in the city with serious injuries. The identities of the victims could not be ascertained at the time of publication.
