Carrying his children on sling, daily wage worker walks 120 kms to home

Mayurbhanj, Odisha: A daily wage worker walked 120 kilometres carrying his two children in a sling on his shoulders to reach his village.
The incident occurred in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.
Rupaya Tudu from Baladia village in the district was working in a brick kiln at Panikoili in Jajpur district. The kiln shut after the lockdown began.
With no income, Tudu and his family decided to return home. His wife would walk with their daughter and he made the sling with two baskets and a bamboo stick to carry his two sons.
Tudu and his family are now undergoing quarantine at their village as per Odisha government guidelines.
