Cars collide head-on: One dead, three seriously injured

Byndoor: One person lost his life and three others suffered critical injuries in an accident that occurred at Naikanakatte under Byndoor police station limits on the afternoon of Saturday, August 31. The deceased is identified as Noorul Amin (48), an entrepreneur running a hotel in Bhatkal.
Mr Amin was returning from the Mangaluru International Airport when the accident occurred. The Maruti Swift car being driven by him jumped the divider and hit the Hyundai Eon car that was plying on the other side of the road. Although the seriously injured Noor was rushed to the hospital, he breathed his last at the hospital.
Meanwhile, three people in the Eon car including woman have been critically injured in the collision. The injured have been admitted into a hospital.
The force of impact between the two cars was such that both the cars have been severely mangled. Byndoor PSI Timmesh B N and personnel visited the spot of the accident and registered a case.
