Case registered against K Chandrashekhar, 16 others under ESMA

Bengaluru: Farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekhar and 16 others have been booked under the Karnataka Essential Services Maintenance Act and Disaster Management Act for organising the RTC employees strike causing crores of rupees in losses.
The cases were booked after a complaint was registered by KM Munikrishna from BMTC’s vigilance wing at the Wilson Garden police station here.
The complaint by Munikrishna states that Chandrashekhar along with 16 RTC employees of the Bengaluru central division instigated other employees to start a strike and also damaged vehicles belonging to the BMTC.
