Cases filed against 3 for derogatory remarks on Gen Rawat’s death: Mangaluru Compol

Mangaluru: Cases have been filed against 3 persons in Mangaluru for making derogatory and inflammatory comments on social media about the death of General Bipin Rawat and others killed in the chopper crash, Mangaluru City police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar Said on Saturday.

The police commissioner said that objectionable comments were made against Ajit Doval who is the current National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India.

The investigations are underway and the accused will be traced soon, he added.

It may be recalled that Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, along with his wife and 11 others, was killed when a Mi17V5 helicopter carrying them crashed near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday. There was a huge uproar on social media over the sharing of objectionable posts by some people mocking the death of a decorated General.
