Kundapur: Pro-Hindutva groups Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal held a protest condemning repeated thefts and slaughter of cattle here, on Friday, June 28.

“The illegal transport of cattle hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus and gives rise to religious hatred. It is unfortunate that thefts of cattle are in progress without hurdles. There should be provision to rear cattle after identifying the plot reserved for the purpose. Cattles were stolen from a house in Elajit. The family should be compensated and stringent action should be taken against cattle thieves,” said the protestors.

After protesting in Byndoor Rotary Bhavan, the gathered protesters went in procession to tahsildar’s office. Later a memorandum was submitted to the tahsildar and police station officer. Byndoor elected representatives, leaders and activists took part in the protests.
