Cattle thief nabbed at two different locations in the State

Bengaluru: In two different incidents, Illegal cattle transport was prevented at two locations in state.
The Prani Kalyana Sangha members intercepted a lorry which was carrying cattle on its way from Anantapur to Bengaluru, transporting 30 cattleheads at Hitamakalahali in Chikkaballapur taluk.
Police have booked the driver and the cleaner.
At Sullia, the forest department staff fired at a vehicle transporting cattle illegally from here to Kerala on the state border on Sunday.
It has been gathered that, as the forest department personnel were inspecting all vehicles, one of the driver tried to run away. The personnel intercepted the vehicle and those in the vehicle tried to attack them with weapons. The officials first fired in the air and then at the vehicle. Those in the vehicle abandoned it and fled away. Police have booked a case.
