Cattle thieves will be arrested soon: M’luru Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar

Mangaluru: Mangaluru Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar assured swift action against cattle thieves.
The department has received four complaints of cattle theft recently. “We’ve received information about the involvement of several teams of thieves in this. action will be taken to arrest the accused at the earliest,” he said.
Several dairy farmers in Vamajoor and Kavoor lost their cattle to thieves. It is suspected that a gang to be involved in these cases. “Police stations have been instructed to file cases of theft without fail,” the Compol said.
He also said that investigation are underway to trace the origin of beef confiscated by Ullal police.
Victims submit petition
The victims of cattle theft on Thursday met the Compol and submitted a list of demands. Kavoor Bolpugudde and Bondel Pachanady reisdents K Pranam Shetty, Dominic Saldanha, Arun Saldanha, Prakash Pinto, Bhavani Shankar, Shrinivas Naik, Lawrence and others subitted the petition. VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell was also present during the occasion.
