Caught on cam: Thieves enter church, damage sacred items in Bantwal

Bantwal: Thieves entered Parla church in Navoor village and damaged sacred items inside the church while searching for money.

The incident came to light on Saturday, January 23 morning, and the entire sequence was captured on CCTV camera.

The CCTV footage from the church showed the thieves entering the church and frantically searching for money.

It is gathered that they would have gone back empty-handed and thoroughly disappointed as no cash was found inside the church. However, thieves have damaged holy items belonging to the church.

Following the incident, Bantwal rural police visited the spot and undertaken scrutiny.
