Caught on cam while checking woman’s pic in House, BSP MLA admits mistake

Belagavi: Though the use of mobile phones inside the Legislative Assembly is banned former primary-secondary education minister and lone BSP MLA N Mahesh was caught on camera while using his mobile phone in the Assembly on Monday, December 17.
Mahesh was busy viewing the photograph of a woman on his mobile phone and most of the television aired the visuals of him viewing the photograph.
When he was forced to explain himself after he was caught on camera Mahesh clarified that he was seeing the pictures and profile of a prospective bride for his son, sent to him by his friend.
Mahesh admitted his mistake and then apologised for taking his mobile inside the Assembly hall as it has been banned since 2013.
He further requested the media not to air the pictures of the girl, as it would be an invasion of her privacy for no fault of hers.
