CCB Police Arrest 14 Accused with Banned Currency Notes worth Rs 9.10 Cr in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested 14 accused including a relative of senior congress party leader, Praveen Kumar on Saturday night for his alleged involvement in turning black money into white in the state capital. The accused were arrested following the seizure of Rs 5 crore unaccounted money last week. The police have seized Rs 9.10 crore found in the denomination banned Rs 500 and Rs 1000 at Bengaluru Bescom layout and arrested the accused. Meanwhile, another gang involved in the same racket was escaped from the spot with Rs 25 Crore.

The police said that Nagarbhavi based business man made a deal with Praveen Kumar to turn his unaccounted money into white. The 14 member gang involves a BMTC employee while rest of the gang is real estate business men.
