CCB police arrest man for uploading wife’s pictures on dating sites

Bengaluru: Cyber Crime Police arrested a man for uploading his estranged wife picture along with her contact number on a dating website.
The accused has been identified as Vinay (32) from Thirthahalli. He worked as a clerical staff at a media house in the city.
It has been learnt that Vinay and his wife were living separately.
It has been reported that, Vinay created a fake profile the name of his wife’s friend, with whom he suspected she was having an affair, and uploaded her morphed picture and her mobile number.
Vinay’s wife began receiving several calls from men seeking sexual favours. Fed-up with the calls, she later approached the cyber crime police and lodged a complaint. The police tracked down Vinay and arrested him.
During interrogation, Vinay confessed of creating a fake account and uploading his wife’s morphed images and contact number to teach her a lesson.
The police have booked him under various sections of the IT Act and remanded him to judicial custody.
