CCB police nab notorious gangster Akashbhavan Sharan

Mangaluru: The notorious gangster Akashbhavan Sharan, who is wanted in several cases and has been absconding since the last several months, has been arrested by the City Crime Branch (CCB) police. The arrested was revealed by the Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil on his Twitter account.
“Notorious gangster and criminal Akashbhavan Sharan has been arrested. Involved in more than 18 very heinous cases. Was absconding from last few months.. (sic)” read the tweet.
Sharan’s name surfaced after the revenge murder of Prakash Kunjaithbail for the murder of Bejai Raja. It is also being said that he had planned the murder of Pradeep Mendon who was the prime accused in Bejai Raja’s murder case. However, his plan failed.
Years ago, Sharan was a member of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike, but was later removed from the outfit after being accused in a case regarding robbery in the city.
Recently, a few of Sharan’s accomplices were arrested in connection to the threatening and demanding of protection money at Hotel Paradise in Kadri and vandalizing the hotel.
