CCB police receive complaint against MP Pratap Simha

Bengaluru: Cyber crime branch police received a complaint against Mysore-Kodagu BJP MP Pratap Simha for “uploading videos with provoking statements” in social media.
A Anand has filed the complaint with the CCB police seeking action against MP Pratap Simha for creating social disharmony amongst the peaceful state members.
He has sought action under IPC Section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), 506 (criminal intimidation) and also under the Information Technology Act.
CCB police said that they are awaiting a legal opinion before filing an FIR.
