Bengaluru: Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) and Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) has planned to fix CCTV cameras at exam halls this year.

KSEEB has clarified the move as a necessary step to avoid any malpractices during examinations.

KSEEB has submitted to the state government and we will be completing the procedure before the examinations begin.

There are about 3,300 SSLC examination centres across the state, out of which 1,390 centres are already equipped with CCTV cameras the board said.

But this year every centre will have CCTV, “said a DPUE official.

Last year cameras were installed only in sensitive PU examination centres, but this year the board has decided to install them in all the centres.
