Bengaluru: Former minister D Sudhakar from Chitradurga was in regular contact with the woman involved in the sex video scandal. This was learnt by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case.
It was reported that Sudhakar had spoken with the woman more than 35 times over the phone and had some financial dealings with her.
The SIT found two mobile phones with the woman, one phone contained numbers of former ministers, politicians and other public figures while the other has numbers of her family and friends.
The SIT’s investigations have also revealed that a former MLA from Mysuru from a national party and a real estate businessman also had financial dealings with the woman. These revelations have made the SIT doubt at a honeytrap angle in the case.
The SIT on Saturday again questioned the woman for five hours and may seek the custody of Ramesh Jarkiholi.
Reacting to the new revelation, Sudhakar said, “SIT gave a phone call to me on Friday. I replied to them that I will come on Monday or Tuesday. I never had any contact with that woman. I was a former minister and also a businessman, so I receive tens of calls every day. The woman might also have called. I have not given any money to her. Ramesh Jarkiholi is a close friend of mine.”
