Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar has clarified on a video released by the woman involved in the Ramesh Jarkiholi CD scandal.

In a video released by the woman recently, she had claimed that she tried to meet DK Shivakumar.

Clarifying this, Shivakumar said that there was a possibility that the woman tried to meet him to seek his help. Several people come to meet me every day in case there are facing a problem and need help. She too may have tried meeting me, but we have never met, he told reporters here.

Speaking further he said that tried to keep track of Jarkiholi when Jarkiholi led the rebellion against Congress with party legislators. The present situation is his personal matter and I need not track it, he added.

On the ongoing investigation in the CD scandal, the KPCC president said that the police department has competent officers and will conduct a fair probe in the matter.

“Police will provide protection to the victims’ parents. I have no idea of their whereabouts. Why I should track them or the case?” he said
