Udupi: Former Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake lashed out at the BJP government in the State and Centre for its ‘failure’ to tackle Covid-19
Sorake said, ” The government ignored the suggestions of the Health advisory committee which has led to the second wave. There is a shortage of beds, oxygen, ventilators, vaccine, medicines, ambulance. Government is responsible for this. Looking at the current situation, Supreme Court intervened and created a task force consisting of experts and experienced doctors”
Hitting out at BJP leaders, he said, ” Recently, Sadananda Gowda asks whether he should hang himself? Another great BJP leader of the state CT Ravi has insulted the judicial system. I demand the immediate resignation of both the BJP leaders”
” Several countries are suffering due to Covid-19 but the respective governments are doing their job. But in our country, our system has failed. I demand PM Modi and Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa resign from their post and save the lives of people,” he added
