Tumkur: The construction of the Ram temple in the birthplace of Lord Sri Ram is making the centuries-old dream a reality, said Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of the Udupi Pejawar Matha.
The Swamiji, who is also a trustee of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, urged people to commemorate this occasion with devotion and enthusiasm.
He was addressing the gathering during Monday’s event at the Sri Ram Mandir in the city, where the sacred soil from Ayodhya was distributed to taluk officials.
The seer said that it won’t be possible for everyone to attend the installation ceremony of the sacred idol at the Rama temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. However, devotees should mark this auspicious occasion by performing rituals like worship, homa, and havan in their village temples, he said.
