CET on June 16 and 17, CCTV installed to prevent cheating: Dr. Ashwath Narayan

Bengaluru: Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission into professional courses including engineering, medicine, agriculture, veterinary science, and pharmacy, will be held on June 16 and 17, said Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan C N.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, the minister said that around 2,16,525 aspirants have enrolled for the entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. The Kannada language proficiency examination for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadigas will be held on June 18, he added.
The examination will be held in 486 centers across the state of which 87 are in Bengaluru, he said.
To avoid cheating and any other irregularities CCTV cameras have been installed at every examination center, he said, and added that every process of the examination is being closely monitored.
The question papers will be printed in both English and Kannada languages, Dr. Ashwath Narayan said.
Do’s and Don’ts
The minister appealed to the students to strictly follow CET exam rules. The do’s and don’ts are as follows:
- Compulsorily wear face masks
- Properly write the name, CET number, and question paper version code in the OMR sheet
- Arrive at the designated examination center at least half an hour before the first bell
- bring along the admission ticket and a valid photo identity card (Identity Card issued by college, Bus Pass, Driving License, Aadhaar / PAN Card, Secondary PUC / 12th Class Admission card etc.)
- Don’t wear any wristwatch
- Don’t bring any electronic devices including mobile phones, tablet PCs, calculators etc.
