‎Bengaluru: Hours after changing the district in-charge ministers for Koppal and Vijayanagar districts, Karnataka government cancelled the order notifying appointments on Saturday. Following this, has drawn criticism from opposition parties.‎

On Saturday morning, the government issued a notification appointing Anand Singh as the in-charge minister for the Vijayanagar district and Shashikala Jolle as the in-charge minister for Koppal. By evening, the order was revoked.

The latest order said that the status quo shall be maintained. Anand Singh will continue as the district in-charge minister for Koppal, whereas Shashikala Jolle will remain the district in-charge minister for Vijayanagar.

It is learnt that Anand Singh was adamant that he should be given charge of his home district of Vijayanagar. His reaction to the latest order remains to be seen.
