Chain snatchers nabbed by a businessman and constable

Bengaluru: Two chain snatchers were caught by a businessman and a constable in Girinagar on Sunday.

The accused has been identified as Nagaraj (30) and Joseph (25). They snatched Rathnamma’s gold chain while she was returning from her evening walk at around 7 pm and fled the spot. Rathnamma, a resident of Hosakerehalli raised an alarm when they snatched her chain. Ravi Kumar, a businessman chased the accused who were heading towards Mysuru road.

 While he was chasing the accused, Kumar found constable Manjunath who is attached to the Byatarayanapura traffic police. Both, Manjunath and Kumar chased them and managed to nab the chain snatchers with the help of passers-by.

The accused have been arrested and a case has been registered at the Girinagar police station.
