Chamarajanagar: A police officer rescued a father, son and driver who were stuck in the forest near Biligirirangana hill for six hours after their car was caught in a ditch.
Bengaluru-based businessman Rupesh Kumar Reddy, his son Tejeshwar and driver Keshav had gone to visit the Biligirirangana hill on September 16.
While returning, their car stuck in a ditch. As there was no mobile phone network coverage in the forest and fear of wild animals made all three sit within their car.
They spent almost 6 hours in the forest locked in their car.
DCIB Inspector Mahadeva Shetty, who was patrolling the marijuana trafficking route in the forest, saw the trio at 2 am. He took all three of them to the hotel where they were staying in his vehicle.
The entire story was narrated by Reddy to Superintendent of Police Divya Sara Thomas on September 23 in a message. He thanked both the SP and the Inspector Shetty for saving their lives.
SP Thomas shared the story on her Facebook page and congratulated Inspector Shetty and his staff.
