Chamarajanagar: Youth dies while fleeing from police patrol

Chamarajanagar: A youth fell and died while running in fear after seeing a police patrol vehicle during lockdown at Yalakuru village in the taluk.
The deceased has been identified as Shankar (25), a resident of the village. He was working as a cook.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 pm on Sunday, July 26. Police were patrolling in their vehicle during the Sunday Lockdown.
A few youths who had gathered around at the village for chatting fled on seeing the police patrol vehicle. Shankar was one among them. while he was running he collapsed and fell unconscious.
He was immediately rushed to a private hospital at nearby Santemarahalli and later to the Chamarajanagar Government Hospital where he was given first aid but died soon after.
