Chamarajnagar: Constable with dist police receives 4 gold medals in Economics

Chamarajnagar: Kaveri, a woman constable in the district police headquarters, has received four gold medals and 7 cash prizes while graduating from the Mysore University’s Economics degree.

Kaveri joined the district police 2 months ago and is undergoing training for Civil Police. She is presently working at the Superintendent of Police’s office here.

She hails from Koodlapur village of Nanjangud taluk in Mysuru district. She is the daughter of Bellashetti and Malligamma and had studied at Government First Grade College, Nanjangud.

She passed her Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree in 2019 with the highest rank. She also came first in the Subject in the entire University scoring 910 out of 1000 marks.

Kaveri received her 4 gold medals and 7 cash prizes for her achievement at the University’s convocation held last Monday.

SP Divya Sara Thomas personally congratulated Kaveri at her office for receiving the gold medals and praised her achievement.

Speaking to Udayavani, Kaveri said: “I will continue to remain in the police force as employment is important in my financial situation. I am aiming to become a Sub Inspector after facing departmental examinations. I’ve been rewarded for my hard work. I got the highest score every semester in the subject of my interest that is economics. It is a great pleasure to have scored the first rank. I am proud to have been honoured by the top officials from our department for this.”
