Chamarajnagar: Villagers consecrate ‘Corona Maramma’; District administration raze illegal construction

Chamarajnagar: Amid the pandemic, a former gram panchayat president along with few villagers in Madhuvanhalli village, Chamarajanagar district consecrated goddess “Corona Maramma” to protect people from the virus.
However, the district administration razed the illegal construction and issued a stern warning.
It is said that on Thursday, Yashodamma, a former gram panchayat president along with a priest and a few villagers conducted prayers and consecrated a small ‘Corona Maramma’ idol.
District administration officials cleared the area and restricted the villagers from visiting the temple as a lockdown is in place.
