The State President of JD(S) Youth Wing, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, has stated that there is no particular focus on the Channapatna constituency regarding the upcoming by-election.

He affirmed his commitment to follow the decisions made by NDA leaders.

Addressing presspersons on Saturday, October 19, Nikhil noted that the Channapatna constituency has been a stronghold for former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda for the past 62 years. However, the decision on candidates for this seat will be made during a meeting of BJP and JD(S) leaders in Bengaluru later today.

“I will respect and abide by the decision taken during the meeting. I am working as an ordinary party worker,” Nikhil said.

He added that the party is working hard to secure victories for the NDA candidates in the Shiggaon and Sandur constituencies during the by-elections.
