Charan Raj Rai murder case: Three arrested

Puttur: The police probing Charan Raj Rai murder case arrested three persons from Pallathadka on Sunday, June 5.

The arrested are Narmesh Rai (29), Nikhil Shetty (23), and Vijesh (22). A manhunt is on to nab the remaining accused.

Case details:

Charan was brutally hacked to death in broad daylight on June 4. He was one of the accused in the Karthik Merla murder case that took place 3 years ago.

At the time of the attack, Charan was outside his yet-to-be-opened medical shop, arranging for the opening ceremony. Assailants who came on the bike, hacked him to death with swords while he was talking over the phone in front of the shop.

Naveen an eyewitness and a friend of Charan who was nearby claims that there were three assailants and he recognized Kishore Poojary to be one among them.
