Charan Raj Rai murder case: Three more including prime accused arrested

Puttur: The police probing Charan Raj Rai murder case have arrested three more accused including the prime accused.

The arrested are Kishore Poojary (34), Rakesh Madiwala (27), and Remanth Gowda (26). The police nabbed the trio in an operation with the help of Hassan and Kodagu district police.

The police had earlier arrested Narmesh Rai (29), Nithin Shetty (23) and Vijesh (22) and remanded them to judicial custody.

Case details:

Charan was brutally hacked to death in broad daylight on June 4. He was one of the accused in the Karthik Marla murder case that took place 3 years ago.

At the time of the attack, Charan was outside his yet-to-be-opened medical shop, arranging for the opening ceremony. Assailants who came on the bike, hacked him to death with swords while he was talking over the phone in front of the shop.

Naveen who was nearby had claimed he recognized Kishore Poojary to be one among them assailants.
