Charmadi Ghat: Sambar deer carcass with bullet wound found on roadside

Kottigehara: The carcass of a Sambar Deer shot dead by unidentified miscreants was found on the wayside near Malayamarutha on Charmadi Ghat on Wednesday.

The carcass was found in a stormwater drain on the side of the highway near Malayamarutha at Charmadi Ghat.

The forest officials visited the spot and reportedly found bullet wounds on the ear, thigh and abdomen regions of the deer. The deer is estimated to be around 3 years old.

Motorists travelling on the Charmadi Ghat highway first noticed the deer and informed the Kottigehara forest check post.
