Charmadi Ghat: Time restrictions on movement of light vehicles lifted

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh has lifted the time restrictions on the movement of light vehicles in Charmadi Ghat.

As per the notification, which comes into effect from today (Nov 28) light motor vehicles such as cars, jeeps, tempos, two-wheelers etc. will be allowed to ply on the Charmadi Ghat stretch throughout the day as opposed to the earlier provision allowing movement of light vehicles only between 6 am to 6 pm.

The notification has prohibited people from taking selfies and photographs on the ghat section.
