Cheating in KPTCL Junior Assistant exam: Another arrested for supplying electronic devices

Belagavi: A job aspirant who supplied electronic devices and microchips to 7 candidates for cheating in KPTCL junior assistant recruitment exam was arrested on Thursday.

The accused has been identified as Hanumantha Mallappa Gudigoppa (22) of Upparatti Mamadapur Road of Gokak Taluk. He has been remanded to judicial custody.

Hanumanta allegedly gave the electronic devices and microchips to the candidates who had written the examination held on 7 August 2022.

He reportedly conspired with the other accused — Sanjeeva Bhandari, Balesh Kattikar, Siddappa Madihalli, Bhimappa Gudigoppa and others and the kingpins Balesh Kapattikara and Manjunatha Mali — in cheating.
