Chetan Bhagat will not be participating in Bangalore Literature Festival

Bengaluru: Author Chetan Bhagat will not to be participating in the Bangalore Literature Festival this year. 

The Festival will be held in the city between October 27 and 28 at LaLit Ashok Hotel in the city. The fest will feature around 150 writers and speakers from across the country. 

The author has decided he will not take part in the event citing other commitments.

However the organisers informed that they have been in touch with Chetan for over three months regarding his participating in the fest.

Multiple women have taken to social media accusing the author of inappropriate behaviour. After screenshots of a conversation with a writer was posted on Twitter, Chetan claimed that he was being ‘vilified’ and ‘harassed’ in a response posted on social media.
