Bengaluru: A 24-year-old killed his father at their residence in Jai Bharat Mata Layout on Saturday after he asked him to look for a job.

The deceased is Manu(55) and accused is Dileep.

As per the sources, Mani and Dileep often fought over the latter’s reluctance to go to work. Dileep used to while away his time by hanging around with his friends.

Mani often used to advise him to look for a job as he was grown up and they had frequent fights. On Friday evening too the duo fought over the same issue when some of the neighbours intervened and advised Dileep to obey his father.

On Saturday, Dileep again picked up a fight with Mani and assaulted him with a sharp weapon on his neck and back, killing him on the spot.

On receiving the information KG Halli police rushed to the spot and arrested Dileep.

Meanwhile, Mani’s body was shifted to Ambedkar Medical Hospital for postmortem.
