Chief priest of Uchila Mahalingeswara Mahaganapathi temple U. Seetharama Bhat passes away

Uchila Mahalingeswara Mahaganapathi temple’s chief priest and businessman, U. Seetharama Bhat Uchila (58)  passed away at a hospital in Bengaluru on April 10 after a prolonged illness.

U. Seetharama Bhat Uchila was known for his charitable contributions, religious, social and educational services, and was a well-respected figure in the community. As the owner of Shri Ram Enterprises and Mahesh Stores in Uchila for the past 35-40 years, U. Seetharama Bhat Uchila was also recognized as the patron of various organizations, including Uchila Saraswathi Mandir Higher Primary School, Saraswathi Mandir High School, Mahalingeshwara Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Kala Mandali, Javaner Uchila, and Natesh Nritya Niketan.

Dignitaries including Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Bhatt, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, Ashokraj Beedu, Kenja Sridhar Tantri, Gurme Suresh Shetty, Deviprasad Shetty, Yashpal Suvarna, Gangadhar Suvarna, Uchila Mahalingeshwara Mahaganapathi Temple’s former Mokthesara Chandrashekar Shetty, and Dyumani R. Bhat, have offered their condolences.

U. Seetharama Bhat Uchila is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
