Chikkaballapur: 4 including mother arrested for selling baby

Chikkaballapur: Police have arrested four people including the mother who sold her baby.

Chandana, from N Hosahalli in Hoskote taluk in Bengaluru rural district had sold the baby to Roopavati from Bagalur.

Chandana was married to Prabhakar from here. Five months after their marriage Chandana gave birth to the baby.

On learning about her pre-marital relationship and pregnancy, Prabhakar sent Chandana back to her parents’ house at N Hosahalli.

After coming to N Hosahalli, Chandana sold the baby to a couple Roopavati-Mallesh from Bagalur.

A complaint was registered at the Chikkaballapur district’s Women and Child Department regarding it. The Department along with police officials rescued the baby and arrested Chandana, Roopavati and Chandana’s parents Nagraj and Nagmani.
