Chikkaballapur: The Chelur police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife over a petty issue in Hoshahudaya (Uppakunte) village of Bagepalli Taluk in the district.
The deceased is identified as Madhura (24), wife of Balachandra Cheloor (28) who is working as a private bus driver. The couple has an 11-month-old baby.
As per sources, Balachandra who is an alcohol addict had picked up a fight with his wife saying that non-veg curry she prepared was too salty. The family member did not interfere as this was a common scene at home most of the time.
