Chikkaballapur: Two killed after truck crashes into roadside hotel

In a tragic incident in Chintamani of Chikkaballapur district, a tipper truck veered off the road and crashed into a roadside hotel, resulting in the death of two people on the spot.

The victims have been identified as Shivananada, a resident of Madikere village in Chintamani taluk, and Shantakumar, a resident of Velagalabure village in Kolar district.

Both deceased were employees at the hotel, according to reports.

Two others, Murali and Srinivasa Babu, were injured in the accident and have been admitted to Chintamani General Hospital for treatment.

The tipper truck driver fled the scene after the accident, and a search is underway to locate him.

Police from the Chintamani Town Police Station visited the scene to conduct an investigation.
