Chikkaballapura: As a precautionary measure, the Chikkaballaura district administration has ordered a holiday for the schools and colleges in the district on Monday, December 12, following a cold and wet weather forecast.

Deputy Commissioner N M Nagaraj has ordered a holiday for schools and colleges. He told Udayavani that instructions have been sent to the Deputy Director of Public Instruction to compensate for the loss of learning hours by holding special classes in the future.

For the past two days, the district has been witnessing cold weather coupled with heavy rain due to the influence of the cyclonic system in the Bay of Bengal.
