Chikkaballapura: JDS leader brutally hacked to death

Chikkaballapura: A local JDS leader was brutally murdered with lethal weapons at Thammanayakanahalli Cross on the Shidlaghatta-Chintamani Road in the district on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh, also known as Watch Venkatesh, a resident of Thammanayakanahalli village.

District Superintendent of Police Kushal Chouksey and his team rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection. The exact motive behind the gruesome murder is yet to be ascertained.

It is reported that Venkatesh was engaged in small-scale money-lending activities. The police have initiated an investigation.

Forensic experts and a canine squad visited the site to gather evidence as part of the inquiry.
