Chikkamagalur: Man killed as car falls into ditch

Chikkamagalur: A man was killed after the car he was traveling in lost control and fell into a ditch in Satkoli, N R Pura Taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Prasanna (51).

Police officials who visited the spot conducted an inspection.

In another incident, passengers miraculously escaped after the car they were traveling in veered off the road and toppled into a canal in Sakharayapattana in Kadur Taluk.

It is said that the driver negligently drove through the water-logged streets.  After falling into the waterlogged area, the car drifted downstream, caught in the currents.

Locals immediately rushed to their aid and rescued the passengers.
