Chikkamagaluru: Entry of tourist vehicles to hill stations banned till Aug 30

Chikkamagaluru: In the backdrop of landslips at various places in Chikkamaguluru owing to the heavy rainfall, district deputy commissioner Bagadi Gautam on Thursday banned entry of tourist vehicles to hill stations in the taluk till August 30.

An official order in this regards was issued by by the deputy commissioner on Friday.

“Based on reports submitted by the Forest Department and the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department and keeping in mind saftey of the tourists, entry to the road connecting Kaimara check-post to Mullayyanagiri, Seethalayyanagiri and Guru Dattatreya Bababudan Swamy Dargah has been banned,” the order states.
