Chikkamagaluru: FIR filed against 4 cops for allegedly robbing Rs 5 lakh from gold trader

Chikkamagaluru: A complaint has been filed against 4 police personnel for allegedly extorting Rs 5 lakhs from a gold trader in Chikkamagaluru.
The FIR has been registered in the Ajjampura police station against its personnel including PI Lingaraj, constables Dhanapal Naik, Omkaramurthy, and Sharath Raj.
Bhagwan Sankla, a gold trader, has alleged that the police personnel threatened and robbed him near the Bukkambudhi toll plaza while he was transporting gold.
Following the allegations, the Superintendent of police has ordered the suspension of the 4 policemen from duties.
