Chikkamagaluru: Two candidates for the Nellikere gram panchayat in the district here rescued a deer stuck in a metal gate while canvassing.
The candidates Kiran Monis and Ratnakar from Nellikare village, heard the cry of the deer while on their canvassing exercise. Both of them then started to search the wild animal and after finding it stuck in a metal gate successfully rescued it.
It was reported that the deer that was rescued is one of the endangered species.
