Chikkamagaluru: Head-on collision between bus and auto leaves two dead

A tragic accident occurred on Friday night near Nalluru Gate in Chikkamagaluru, resulting in the death of two individuals—a driver and a passenger of an auto-rickshaw. The deceased have been identified as Chandrashekar (38) and Raghavendra (40), both residents of Malledevaranahalli village.

The accident took place when a private bus, traveling from Moodigere to Bengaluru via Chikkamagaluru, collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw near Nalluru Gate. The impact was severe, leaving the auto-rickshaw mangled. Auto driver Chandrashekar and passenger Raghavendra sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

A case has been registered at the Rural Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
