Chikkamagaluru: Woman attempts suicide by climbing police station roof, rescued

Chikkamagaluru: Police rescued a woman who attempted to end her life by jumping off the roof of Mudigere police station here on Friday morning.
The woman has been identified as Shilpa, a resident of old Mudigere.
Reportedly, a complaint had been filed against Shilpa for alleged assault on female police personnel in the station last year.
As Shilpa failed to appear for the court hearing a summons had been issued against her.
Fed up with this, Shilpa attempted suicide at the station. She was however saved and counseled by the police.
A video of the incident is going viral on social media.
