Chikkamagaluru: Woman falls from govt bus due to broken door lock, hospitalised

A woman sustained serious injuries after she fell out of a government bus due to a broken door lock near Aidalli village on Tuesday.

The injured Shakuntalamma, a resident of Aidalli village has been admitted to Aldur Government Hospital for treatment.

The bus was traveling from Chikkamagalur to Sringeri, and Shakuntalamma was boarding the bus to Balehonnur when the door lock broke. As a result, she suddenly fell out of the bus and got injured.

Passengers have complained that the incident occurred due to poor maintenance of the bus. A case has been registered at Aldur Police Station in this regard.
